Pompeii
Momentous archeological situated center in the lowland circumvesuvian to the right hand of the Sarno river. Of primeval origin "osca", the city suffered the Greek hegemony and that etrusc in succession, until, in the V century a.C., it had taken from the Sanniti. Beaten these from the Romans, it was constrained to the capitulate and it became colony of veterans (80 a.C.). In the 62 d.C.
